philosophia ancilla theologiae
The Lord that means, the Creator of Heaven and Earth became a human being like
us, in our space and in our time, on our earth and in the midst of our history, so-called
world history. So the Lord God is not only eternal and invisible and spiritual he is,
to be sure, all of those things, too but also temporal and visible and a physical person
who talks and acts like one of us. We have here, we have in direct relation to our real
existence, a Lord. In this our own sphere, we are by him very much touched and
handled. The Kingdom of God has drawn near.
Karl Barth, Offenbarung
